The College of Louisiana at Lafayette and group enterprise leaders are coordinating the Speed up Northside program to assist spur COVID-19-related financial restoration.
UL Lafayette’s Louisiana Entrepreneurship and Financial Improvement Middle and the Higher Southwest Louisiana Black Chamber of Commerce will lead the 12-week initiative.
The entities are enlisting volunteer businesspersons who will present consulting and mentoring to homeowners of small companies and other people concerned about beginning a enterprise on the north facet of Lafayette.
Speed up Northside is a part of an 18-month initiative that the LEED Center will coordinate to assist bolster financial improvement in a number of areas of Acadiana, together with rural areas. The middle helps small companies, entrepreneurs and financial improvement businesses in Louisiana.
The initiative can be augmented by $300,000 grant awarded to LEED by the U.S. Financial Improvement Administration that’s designed to assist enterprise homeowners and entrepreneurs impacted by pandemic-related enterprise closures.
Speed up Northside will embody workshops that can be held every Saturday from Feb. 20 to March 27 on campus that can cowl subjects resembling enterprise planning, monetary sources and assist, and advertising.
